Since I continuously visit Laser Vision Correction Clinics overseas to observe and learn new technologies, I have been hearing so much about this new LASIK procedure ”CustomVue” for a while. Recently, more than 70% clinics use VISX Excimer Lasers, and offer CustomVue procedures in the United States. I have treated my vision with Conventional LASIK and I was satisfied with the result, so, I would not imagine of myself getting additional procedures. However, the more I became familiar to this treatment, the more I was convinced that this new treatment could give me another, better vision than one I already was satisfied with… And the best way to find out is to get the treatment for myself. Then I put myself on the WaveScan to examine whether I can be a good candidate. Yes, the data showed that it would worth the try to improve my vision slightly better. The treatment result was superb! The very next morning after the CustomVue treatment, I gazed out from Hiroo Clinic window towards Shinjuku high rises; clearly and sharp, I could see those buildings. Accurate alignment is essential to optimizing customized wavefront-guided ablations. VISX Iris Registration Technology makes accurate alignment easier than ever with a fully automated method.
