THE SAFER PROCEDURE
NearVision CK is a non-laser / cutting procedure. It is very safe since radio frequency is used.
The treatment takes about 3 minutes and you would not feel any pain during the procedure.
THE MULTI-FOCAL LENS
By applying radio frequency, NearVision CK changes and corrects the curvature of the cornea. This curvature becomes the multi-focal lens and creates “Blend Vision” which enables you to see both near and far.
・You are able to see without contact lenses or glasses and have no vision deficiency, have no narrow vision and have not had any significant changes in your vision for one year.
・You have no health issues affecting your eyes.
・You are not pregnant or nursing.
・You have difficulty with close vision and use reading glasses only to see things close.
・You want to reduce or eliminate your dependence on glasses, reading glasses or contacts.
・Your cornea thickness is less than 570μm at the center and more than 560μm at the 6mm radius from its center.
・Your Cornea Curvature Radius is between 41.0D to 45.0D.
・You understand that the presbyopia will progress with aging and you will need additional treatment sometime in the future.
If you qualify under the eligibility criteria listed above, you will be a good NearVisionCK Candidate. NearVision CK is applies radio frequency (RF) energy on your non-dominant eye to create “Blend Vision”= to accommodate both distant and near vision. |
When you see objects in the far distance, usually your eye focuses using the center of the cornea. When you see near, it focuses using the outer sides of the cornea.
By applying radio frequency in the periphery of your cornea, it would make a small area of collagen shrink. The center of the cornea remains untouched, but the outer side curvature of the cornea will be changed and corrected; therefore, it improves the near vision while keeping the vision for far distance


A topical anesthetic (eye drops) will be applied.

Marking the center of your eye

8~16 spots of Radio Wave are applied as marked radius.

A controlled release of radio waves are applied in a circular pattern on the outer cornea to shrink small areas of collagen.
